Steve Kunzweiler - President
Steve brings a very creative yet practical approach to design. His rooms "just work". Taking your requirements and turning them into a functional room is sometimes more art than science. In his younger years Steve worked in the field, and it's this experience combined with his flair for design that has produced thousands of beautiful projects that are great to look at but also wonderful to work in.
Steve is continually working to streamline the design process. From budget to drawings to product selection, the task is sometimes overwhelming. You'll recognize Steve's 40+ years of experience the moment you walk into our showroom.
Kent Kunzweiler - Vice President
Taking the creative output of our designers and turning it into a finished product is not magic. It's a very detailed process that involves bringing together materials, labor of all types, a budget and a promise that the project will be completed on time. Working in your home is disruptive and although the finished product makes it worth the pain, (contrary to TV shows you watch these days) rooms don't get remodeled overnight.
Having experienced employees helps Kent stick to a schedule and complete projects on time. He has also worked to develop strong working relationships with the few subcontractors we use for finishing wood floors, plastering, or installing tile. Communication is key and whether it's letting you know who will be in your house on what day, or a simple call to say "our men are stuck in traffic, but we'll be there," Kent allows you to go on with your busy life as the project unfolds.
Unlike his brother Steve, Dave Kunzweiler was never allowed to "use the tools". His talents fall in the design end of the spectrum and after 20+ years in the industry you can rest assured that your project is in good hands
Dave uses a collaborative approach working closely with the client to determine their needs and offering smart choices of materials to meet those wants. Transitional is the best description of the design style practiced by Dave. "I enjoy a traditional look but without the clutter. Clean lines and nice contract."
Melissa Wilson - Certified Bath Designer
Melissa Wilson, CBD (Certified Bath Designer), brings over 20 years of experience in kitchen, bath, office, laundry room and bar design to your project. Melissa is an effective listener, helping each client enjoy building their unique project while integrating her proven design process.
"Function comes first, as together we look at the potential of the space and get the big picture. The details follow, incorporating each client's wish list. Finally, we develop design plans that integrate creative elements that are executable and match the homeowner's lifestyle." Melissa has served on the local National Kitchen and Bath Association chapter board in many positions, including President.
Linda Gassman - Designer
Linda began a successful interior decorating business over 10 years ago and had assisted numerous Cabinets Plus clients during this time frame. Cabinets Plus immediately recognized Linda's outstanding potential to be a kitchen and bath designer and added her to the staff in 2012.
Using her detailed design principles and interior decorating experience, Linda brings a unique and full package to the process of remodeling.
Jody Kunzweiler - Business Manager
During Jody's 20+ years with Cabinets Plus, she has worn many hats around the office. Whether it's accessorizing our latest kitchen display or producing our next newsletter, she's always utilizing her creative abilities. Or she could be putting her accounting skills to work analyzing data or making sure all the company's bill are paid on time (our suppliers love us!).
Jody also oversees the production of all the documents and communications that we have with our clients. Our business has been built on your referrals and the expectation of a high level of customer service. With Jody's strong organizational skills, she is able to keep the daily operations running smoothly.
Amy McKenna - Administrative Assistant
Amy joined Cabinets Plus in 2010 with a background in the electrical contracting corporate world with experience ranging from Project Management to Executive assistance. She works closely with Jody and the designers to keep the daily operations running smoothly. Her strong time management, organizational and technological skills enable us to continuously provide high quality customer service to our clients.
Amy understands the process our clients go through during a remodeling project, having experienced it first-hand through kitchen and bath remodels at her own residence. She will never fail to greet you with a friendly smile when you visit our showroom.
