Bringing a Dated White Kitchen Up to the Rest of the House

Bright white kitchen with black countertops, island, bar stools, and hanging pendant lights in Arlington Heights, IL.

The homeowners for this Long Grove kitchen remodeling project had a classic white kitchen that was out of keeping with the rest of their beautifully decorated home. Cabinets Plus worked for many weeks to refine the design and materials to best fit the homeowners' lifestyle and tastes. 3-D Renderings produced by the drafters provided previews for how the various finishes would work together.

Some of the most notable improvements include:

  • a larger, more functional island with more seating
  • a Mouser wood hood with a new high performance gas range top instead of the electric cook top in the kitchen island
  • Cambria quartz countertops that are both lighter in color and less maintenance than the existing dark granite
  • a timeless backsplash with custom accent tile under the hood for a beautiful focal point.
  • large gains in storage and countertop space with the expanded island and removal of the small desk space
