KITCHEN REMODELING BUDGETS

At Cabinets Plus we stay in the mid-range of budgets. Our products will fit a wide variety of prices, but we tend to stay away from the very low budgets and the very expensive. Although you may not want to share a number initially, it is best to have a budget in mind when you start a kitchen remodel or a bathroom remodel.

We find that homeowners in the Northwest Chicago suburbs generally spend 7-10% of their home value for a kitchen remodel. Recently, we have done renovated kitchens beginning at $15,200 for a homeowner in Arlington Heights. That was for cabinets only; no installation. At the other end of the spectrum, we recently renovated a kitchen in South Barrington for $121,000—a real show stopper, as you can imagine.

One way to save money on a kitchen is to prioritize what's most important to you. For example, if you really want granite countertops or quartz countertops, you may choose less expensive semi-custom cabinets or stock cabinets. We are here to help you design the kitchen of your dreams and try to bring it in at your budget.

ONE KITCHEN: FOUR BUDGETS

To illustrate how the price of a kitchen can vary based on the materials and design options you select, here are four examples of one kitchen (approximately 228 sq. ft.) at different budget levels. Any one of them would be a great enhancement to your home and give you years of enjoyment. All budgets include materials, removal of the old kitchen and installation of the new one.
